Nehemiah 13

What man would rob God?
The storehouse sits empty
Those who worked hard went home hungry
Those who came hungry went home starving

There food bank sits untended
The poor and hungry came for nothing
The warehouse sits empty
Every worker’s post is abandoned

The hungry workers hire themselves as laborers
Seeking to fill their bellies
Bills come with or without a paycheck
No one can afford to work without payment

The storehouse remains empty
No worker comes to fill it
The city begins to crumble
Workers do not continue without food or payment

Yet one priest remains fat
Eliashib who stole payroll
Eliashib who sold the food bank
The priest who would dare rob God
