Little things

We are told God is in the little things
We are told a little faith changes everything
A little action can have a big effect
The smallest act of love can change a life

Sometimes the world seems hostile
Everyone fight to carve out a space
Do we fight to remove another from a niche?
Do we seek to create space for others?

Do we act on kindness or selfishness?
Do we show love to those we will never see again?
A moment can make all the difference in the world
A moment which costs nearly nothing

Is it true that God is in the little things?
If so, how can I be faithful?

Response to a sermon at West Richmond Friends meeting delivered by David Zier.
