Sometimes people seem to take pleasure in the misery of others.
We laugh at those who mourn,
we mock those who are feeling weak.
We build our own pride up with the hurt and failures of others.
Faith teaches us another way,
Paul tells us to mourn with those who mourn,
to bear the burdens of others
To let Christ’s cross define our relationships
It is written to control the tongue
To not bless God then curse men
To respect the Image of God
To know that cursing humanity is blaspheming the divine
Tears fall from someone who can no longer shrug of the joke
The spirit is crushed for another’s pleasure
