Obsolete work

Life keeps moving forward
The sun rises and the sun sets
Information is for yesterday
Work is so quickly obsolete

The mind tires at the thought
Yet work continues
There is hope for profit someday
Yet it seems today will not be the day

The body protests these facts
Sometimes unwilling to continue
Labor without reward kills the body
For reward is necessary for survival

Yet there is always hope for tomorrow
For when hope dies, there is no life
