Work continues

Sometimes the feet start to ache
The voice becomes rough
Seems that life is nothing but work
We wonder where we find time for living

The day passes without time for poetry
The mind wants only solitude
There is barely enough time for eating
Sleep seems a precious commodity.

The ears hears all the chattering around them
So many stories without context
There is hope that it will all be connected
There is even more hope that it will not

We count down days until we reach a Sabbath
Hands full of money, hearts full of hope
Knowing that the next day is a day of rest
Not knowing what the following days hold

The heart is eager to do tomorrows work!
Though tired, the work is a joy

Awww….it will be okay, MDJ. It does feel like work destroys time for poetry. While I was working, I had that problem and didn’t even blog. I missed it so much.
