Clash of worlds

Sometimes life is about travel
Everything moves,
Nothing is at rest
The necessities of life are always moving

There are beans in the earth
Trees are waiting to produce fruit
Perhaps there are some things that stay in place
From soil to meal on the same land

The heart sometimes wants the past
Hands that touch real paper
Fingers black from ink
A world both more simple, yet less easy

A few blisters brings no harm
Work can enforce exercise
A hoe brings up the heartbeat
Amazing how difficult it can be to cut grass

The wind blows cool across bare arms
It seems spring does not know whether to be hot or cold
The last freeze likely has not come
Yet the ground is workable

The mind fills with tasks for the day
Having chosen one, the day moves forward
Today is a good day for friends
Today is a good day for writing
